I am sorry to report that Sammy passed away on Monday, July 17 at approximately 10:30 AM. It was totally unexpected. Sam was doing so well in the past few weeks we just knew he would outlive us all.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20th at the Sandra Clark Funeral Home in south Dallas, from 6 to 9 PM.
The funeral home is located on South RL Thornton Freeway, across from Laurel Land Cemetary. A memorial service will be held at the same location on Friday, July 21st at 11 AM. Burial services in Mississippi are still pending. We have recently learned that a service is being tentatively planned for 1:00 on Saturday in Jackson. No other details are available right now. Keep checking back, as we will update this site as soon as we learn what will happen.
